Pepakura Designer is software for unfolding 3D model and does not have functions to make original 3D data. You have to design 3D model data with other 3DCG software. Pepakura Designer can load several file formats listed below:

• Metasequoia (*.mqo) * Highest compatibility
• Wavefront (*.obj)
• 3D Studio (*.3ds)
• Lightwave (*.lwo)
• AutoCAD (*.dxf)
• STL (Binary format) (*.stl)
• Google Earth 4 (*.kmz, *.kml)
• Hexa Great (*.6kt, *.6ks)

There are some free 3D CG software that can generate supported file formats. You may use oen of them such as blender, google SketchUp and MetasequoiaLE.

Please send us following information from here with a message that you lost a password.
- The name and the version number of the software you purchased.
- Purchase date (DD/MM/YY)
- Purchaser's name
- Purchaser's e-mail address

After we confirmed our record, we will re-issue the password.

Pepakura Designer can export the unfolded pattern into EMF, DXF, and EPS format as vector data.
For example, Adobe Illustrator can import them.
You can download sample files exported by Pepakura Designer from the following link to confirm with your drawing software before you purchase a license.

Pepakura Designer can import KMZ file exported from GoogleSketchUp 6.0 or 7.0.
The file format was changed when the version of SketchUp moves to 7.1.
We are sorry that Pepakura Designer does not have good compatibility with SketchUp which version is higher than 7.0.

Another solution is to use a plug-in for SketchUp.
A plug-in which name is ‘OBJExporter’ enables SketchUp to export 3D models into an OBJ file which can be imported to Pepakura Designer.

You can set the scale by selecting the menu; [2DPatternWindow]-[Change the Scale of Development]-[Specify the Scale]. Note that this feature is only available on Pepakura Designer.
Pepakura Viewer does not have this feature.
(If you want to scale with Pepakura Viewer, please try to do that by changing printer setting.)

The edges almost flat are not displaied as default setting. Please open the [Line Style Configuration] dialog from the [Configration] menu, then uncheck the [Hide fold lines almost flat] check box.

The red line means that the edge is NOT shared by two faces. Please try to unite the edges located at almost the same position by selecting [3DModelWindow]-[Join Adjacent Isolated Edge]. If it does not work well, please unite them in your own 3DCG software.

Select [Configuration]-[Reset to Default] and then restart Pepakura Designer.

It is known that the Pepakura Designer V3 which runs on European OS can not open old PDO files generated with V1. In this case, you can open the data by changing the decimal symbol in the Windows "Customize Regional Options" dialog box from "," to ".".

Please try the followings:

• Please confirm whether you can print the other simple data with Pepakura Designer.
• Please change "Print Configuration" from [Print and Paper] dialog.
  • Change "Resolution (for bitmap print)" to lower setting.
  • Change "Thickness of Line".
  • Select "Print lines clearly (Vector print)".
• If you have a PDF printer, you can print to a PDF file. PDFCreator is such a free software. Then you can print the PDF file with Adobe Reader.
• Please copy the template to a clipboard via [File]-[Copy development to clipboard], and then paste it to other application such as MS Word. Then print it with the application.

Please confirm the file path contains only alphabet characters.
(i.e. c:\test\sample.pdo)

We have a tool "Pepakura HighResolution Exporter" for using high resolution texture images. Please see more datial at the "Pepakura HighResolution Exporter" page.

Pepakura Designer does not have a feature to reduce the number of polygons.
Please try to simplify the model with other 3DCG software.
